Toronto, ON, December 1, 2025 – Yorkville University is proud to announce that it has become a Signatory Member of Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) – a United Nations-supported initiative that aims to raise the profile of the importance of responsible and accountable management practice, equipping graduates of business programs from around the world with the skills and inclination to contribute to ethical enterprise, sustainable change and positive social impact.
With this announcement, Yorkville joins over 800 business and management schools worldwide committed to PRME’s Seven Principles, which are reflected in Yorkville’s Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration programs.
“Becoming a PRME Signatory Member reflects Yorkville University’s deep and growing commitment to educating leaders who can navigate complexity, think creatively, champion integrity, and drive meaningful, sustainable change,” said Dr. Julia Christensen Hughes, President and Vice Chancellor, Yorkville University.
“This partnership is aligned with our commitment to fostering managerial responsibility and accountability across all our business programs. It is also aligned with our broader commitment to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which transcends all of our programs, in particular #3 Good Health and Well Being, #4 Quality Education and #5 Gender Equality.”
As a recently established Signatory Member, Yorkville looks forward to engaging with other PRME schools, and to reporting on our progress towards the Seven Principles.
Among PRME’s missions is to engage business and management schools like Yorkville to ensure they provide future leaders with the skills needed to balance economic and sustainability goals, while drawing attention to the SDGs and aligning academic institutions with the work of the UN Global Compact.
